10 Major Makeup Faux Pas!!! | Ladies Corner

                                                          1. You are not blending well enough: I don’t know how many times I have to emphasize the need to blend. You have to make sure there are no harsh lines.

2. You simply put on TOO much makeup: Makeup is meant to enhance your natural beauty. A word is enough for the wise.

3. Your under eye concealer is too light or too dark for your skin tone: The concealer is supposed to cover dark circles or blemishes so try using a shade or two lighter than your skin tone.

4. You got too much blush on: I’m sure your intent wasn’t to look like a clown in photos. Use a light hand while applying the blush. It is supposed to highlight your cheekbones and also bring some color to your face. A little goes a long way.

5. Your foundation looks cakey: You either put too much on or the makeup brand is crappy. Either way, please stop it. Learn to start off small, then add as needed.

6. You are wearing bad false lashes: If your false lashes seem to come across as spider legs, you may want to rethink wearing those lashes.

7. You are wearing a really dark liner with a light lip color: Stop with the 80’s look! You either want to use the dark liner to fill in your lips & then apply clear lip gloss OR use the same shade of lip liner for your lip color.

8. You shaved off your eyebrows, and then drew them in: No, no, no, no! I mean, what were you thinking?? Apart from the fact that you’d be scaring people off when you got no makeup on, you will have this “old and tired” look. Don’t do it!

9. You are wearing a really bright eye shadow: Leave that look to the fashion models on photo shoots and runways, please.

10. You are wearing a lipstick that’s frosty-looking: Sigh. Just find another color that will bring warmth to your overall look.

What the Colors of Your Job Interview Clothes Convey

Research has shown that 85 percent of communication is nonverbal, so choosing what to wear to an interview is clearly an important part of your overall presentation. It won’t make up for weak answers, but it can communicate some positive things about your personality and what you might be like to work with.

Here's what some common colors convey so you can put them to best use when getting dressed for the job interview: • Blue: You can't go wrong with darker shades of blue, especially navy. Choosing from this powerful spectrum will project an image of someone who is in control. From the interviewer's point of view, the color blue conjures up calm, stability, trust, truth, confidence and security. These are all great messages to send without saying a word. • Gray: After blue, gray is the second most popular color to wear for an interview. Like darker blue, it’s not a distracting color to the interviewer, which means they’ll be focused more on what you’re saying and how you’re saying it. Gray denotes sophistication, so use it to your advantage. • Black: This is a commanding color and represents authority. Black also connotes drama, so use it carefully when putting together your interview outfit. You may want to use it as an accent -- like in a scarf or tie, for instance -- rather than as the primary color. • Red: This is an extremely powerful color. It's so strong you should only use it as an accent color. Reds are associated with energy, passion, desire, power and aggression. People think of intensity and passion when they see the color red, so use it sparingly, or it could send the wrong message to the interviewer. • White: White shirts and blouses are always a safe bet. It sends the message of simplicity, cleanliness, precision and goodness. In this very competitive job market, give yourself every opportunity to shine in the interview. Knowing what job interview clothes to wear makes a statement about who you are. Choosing the right colors will reinforce that positive impression.

How to Deal With Negative People Positively

Everyday we deal with a number of different people from different walks of life. However, we tend to turn our attention away when confronted with a high-intensity negative person. Here is an article to help you deal with negative people positively. Keep reading.

In everyday life, do you come across people who are fraught with negativity? Has your friend, who is very dear to you, developed a negative attitude, and you can't just stand it anymore? Do people around you see a glass half empty instead of half full? Well... it is not new, there are a lot of people you might have come across, or will come across at least once, filled with negativity. Such people can drain our positive energy and influence our thinking making it negative too, because no matter what you say or do, they have a way of spinning things in the negative direction. You cannot really put an end to this, and turn attention away from this scenario, because you have to deal with such kind of people on-and-off in your life. Therefore, it is important you deal with them in a way that you don't get affected by their negativity. Here are a few tips on how to deal with negative people positively. Read on...

Tips To Deal With Negative People Positively
Make positive statements
A negative person is going to go on and on about how unfair everything is... how nothing pleases her/him... and about so many other complaints... In such cases be an active listener, irrespective of whether you absorb it or not. They want to be heard, they want to vent out their grief. Give them a patient ear, ask questions, agree with whichever points you think are legitimate and lastly, emphasize by making positive statements. How does it feel when someone tells you to relax, when you are super annoyed? Good, right? Give them that same empathetic ear. By helping them to learn to address their emotions, and find a solution for themselves.

Avoid the negative comments and stay in a positive frame of mind...
While dealing with cynical people, it is likely that you too tend to shape your perception in that direction. Don't let that happen, be firm and don't let their thoughts influence yours. Never take such people personally. Now, I know it may seem difficult, because sometimes even an abrasive person may have a valid point. But, here the point is to weigh their comments and decide for yourself, how much importance is to be given to these comments. You don't need others to tell you what you are like, however keep an open mind with a willingness to learn.

Broaden your perspective
Sometimes, some people find it comfortable to share their grief with you, however unfortunately, they may come across as negative people. Whether the person is really negative or not, ultimately you're the one who is perceiving the person as negative, make sure you have legitimate reasons to back your thinking. Broaden your perspective, probably the negativity is the product of your lens. Therefore, interpret every trait of theirs in a positive manner, or look for the goodness in him/her instead of the negativity.

Don't get into an argument with them...
The most important thing you have to learn is not to get into an argument with a negative person. At such times the negativity in them is aggravated and there is every possibility it might rub on to you. No matter how hard you try to direct the discussion in a positive way, a negative person will have strong view points to back up his stand. Avoid the arguments as far as possible, or change the subject, whichever is easy.

Praise them for their positive aspects
This is one thing that is sure to work even if the others don't. Praise them for their positive aspects. Find the silver lining in the dark cloud. While they talk to you about all the negative things in the world, make sure you understand all of it, and yet find a sunny side to it. This can be more frustrating and annoying for them. However, remember, this will mark as the first seed of positivity you are sowing in them.

Actions speak louder than words
Be an enthusiast and focus on your own positive energy. Try to influence your positivity on him/her. Look at everything positively, find goodness in all that you see and most importantly help the negative person to perceive things from your eyes. Let the positivity rub on to them. Initially it may seem really difficult, yet cultivating this skill will become your second nature.

Counter react with warmth
I firmly believe in the language of love, and that it can melt a total cynic. Usually a negative person is depressed, lonely and longing for attention. You will see a negative person constantly feels he/she is unloved and as a result craves affection. A hug, peck, or a simple smile, can break down negativity faster than words. This might also help them get to the real heart of the problem causing their negativity.
It may seem difficult for you to deal with negative people initially, however you can make the world a better place to live by working on yourself. Don't let negativity influence your mind, become self-aware and protect your positive space, let nobody intrude it.

#Call It Weird; Female Doll That Might End Marriages

This (unbelievably) is a picture of a doll that was created in Sweden to serve as a replacement for women especially when it comes to sex.

Now, it wouldn’t be a no-brainer to wonder why someone would rather opt for a silicon love doll instead of a real woman. Well according to the manufacturers of these dolls, it comes with a host of advantages that makes it worth the whooping $6,000 it costs to acquire one plus it is very much similar in all feautures to the female human.

According to the inventors of these dolls, the texture of the skin is similar to 99.8% of the human skin and would last two years if used constantly/consistently every day. It also has 100 sensors spread around the body, and 30 of these sensors are located on the private regions. Each of the sensor makes her move in a specific way up to 20 positions.

It is also adjustable to any position and will emit light gentle sounds that has been synchronized to those emitted by a female human during sexual intercourse and it Comes with inbuilt sound in the throat that will recognize up to 16 commands that are extremely personal up to two meters away from her ears.

According to the manufacturers of the doll, the high points of the doll is that it has a voice password which means only the buyer would have access to ‘use’ the doll once it is pass worded and that it also emits some sort of fluid (wetness) similar to that produced by women when stimulated prior intercourse.

However, the disparaging fact about the users of these love dolls is that they end up building a relationship with them dolls and even start caring for them like real women.

A lot occur in the world today that is totally against the course of nature and some, being the liberal creatures that humans are, is acceptable but trying to replace women by dolls in sexual relationships?(sighs).

Do Soup Diets for Fast Weight Loss Work?

Want a slimmer YOU? Start slurping soup. Okay, slurping is optional, but if you need to lose weight and melt body fat, eating soup shouldn't be.
Here's the simple soup science: The more often you eat soup, the more likely you are to shrink your waist, lose weight, and lower your total body fat (your body mass index, or BMI). That's all according to recent research confirming previous soup-slimming studies. You'll also cut your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and health hazards that come with belly fat and excess weight -- all because soup makes you feel fuller on fewer calories.
You don't have to know a thing about cooking to make great soup. Here's our 3-step soup-for-dummies secret:
  1. Fill a pot with water and turn on the heat. How ya' doing so far?
  2. Throw in lots of colorful, chopped vegetables: carrots, celery, red peppers, onions, garlic, and any other firm ones first. Then add tomatoes, dark greens, zucchini, whatever. All are chock-full of nutrients, with almost zero calories and fat. Enrich the flavor and up the protein with beans (fiber plus favor), chicken, or fish.
  3. Be bold with spices. Cayenne and hot peppers, rich in capsaicin, not only rev up the flavor but even help you burn fat a little faster, too.

It's Official: Chocolate Helps You Lose Weight

270312N.Chocolates.jpg - 270312N.Chocolates.jpg

Chocolate lovers no longer have to fear the flab as eating more can help you keep slim, new research claims.
A study has found that despite boosting calorie intake, regular chocolate consumption is related to lower body mass index (BMI).
The effect is modest but greater than can be explained by chance, say the US researchers who took account of influencing factors such as overall fat consumption and exercise, reports Sky News.
BMI relates height and weight and is the standard measurement used to assess levels of obesity.
The good news about chocolate emerged after scientists screened a group of 972 men and women with an average age of 57 for a study of statins - cholesterol-lowering drugs.
Among other diet and lifestyle questions, participants were asked: "How many times a week do you consume chocolate?"
Chocolate is known to contain plant chemicals called polyphenols that combat heart disease and may influence metabolism.
The researchers suspected they might, to some extent at least, off-set the unwelcome effects of high saturated fat levels in chocolate bars and sweets.
No account was taken of different types of chocolate, some of which contain more healthy elements than others.
The results showed that chocolate was not only "calorie neutral" but actually appeared to make people slimmer.
Participants who ate chocolate on more days of the week than average were statistically likely to have a lower BMI than those who did not.
This was despite the fact that people who ate more chocolate did not consume fewer calories overall, or take more exercise.
Study leader Dr Beatrice Golomb, from the University of California at San Diego, said: "Our findings appear to add to a body of information suggesting that the composition of calories, not just the number of them, matters for determining their ultimate impact on weight.
"In the case of chocolate, this is good news - both for those who have a regular chocolate habit, and those who may wish to start one."
